Dreamscapes

As a child, I was a chronic dreamer, often losing myself in fantastical worlds. Remembering these vivid dreams inspired me to put my thoughts on paper. Bedtime stories, once a mundane affair, became a gateway to my own personal narratives.

My imagination often soared into the cosmos. I drew spaceships, charted imaginary journeys to planets like Mars, Venus, and Saturn, and even pondered the mechanics of anti-gravity, inspired by books like “Danny Dunn and the Anti-Gravity Paint.”

But life threw a curveball when my parents divorced and I moved away from my mom. The upheaval shattered my young world, and I found solace in writing poetry.

My passion for science fiction rekindled in junior high, fueled by the futuristic adventures of Star Trek. Despite my English teacher’s insistence on focusing on the real world, I used science fiction as an escape.

Years later, I retired and finally had the freedom to pursue my lifelong dream of writing science fiction. My novel, “Black Angels,” is a testament to the power of following one’s passions.
